My desk is my happy place.

I know not everyone feels that way about their workspace. Some people have the clean, minimal, everything hidden aesthetic and honestly, respect. That takes discipline I do not have. Me? I like my desk to feel alive. A little busy. Full of things that make me actually want to sit down and do something.

Here's what's on it right now.

The Little Drops Planner in Purple

I've been using the purple colourway lately and I cannot explain why it makes planning feel so much more enjoyable but it does. Something about the colour just makes me want to open it. I use the daily time blocking pages religiously because if it's not written down it simply does not exist. My brain has decided this and I've accepted it.

My pen situation (which is completely normal and not excessive)

Okay so I have a lot of pens. This is fine. The black gel ink pens are my everyday writers, smooth, clean, no bleeding, no drama. And the coloured gel set has been getting way too much use lately for colour coding my planner spreads. I told myself I was buying them for the shop. I kept a set for myself. I regret nothing.

A candle, always

Not stationery, not relevant, but I cannot work without one. It's a boundary I've set with myself.

The Pendant Charm Bookmark

Currently marking my place in whatever I'm reading and making me feel like a very sophisticated person who has their reading life together. The bar is low. The bookmark clears it easily.

My desk is not perfect. There are sticky notes everywhere, at least two mugs that need to go back to the kitchen, and a growing collection of pen lids without pens. But it's mine and it makes me happy and that's enough.

If you want to make your desk feel like a place you actually want to spend time, start small. One good pen. One notebook you love opening. A candle if you're feeling fancy.

That's genuinely all it takes.
